It’s been quite a week at The Roof Gardens! There is still no sign of the dreaded January Blues, as the party has kept going at a pace throughout January!

This week, as part of our Live Music programme, we held a very special music night in association with Tanqueray and the highlight of the evening was the sparkling headline set from Abi Phillips, who you will recognise from Channel 4’s Hollyoaks! The Marquee was buzzing as guests sipped on some fantastic Tanqueray Gin Cocktails and listened to the great array of artists who made this one of the best live music nights that we have ever seen at The Roof Gardens. Happy New Year! I can’t believe as I am writing this we are already in to our third week of 2012! I hope you all had a great festive period – we certainly did here in Verbier! World-renowned for being one of the best places to see in the New Year, Verbier certainly didn’t disappoint this year either! Fantastic fireworks all over the town, lots and lots of snow and the biggest snow-fall fight in Place Centrale that I have ever seen! And we celebrated in style at The Lodge, with a delicious five-course tasting menu, followed by champagne on the balconies of the Master Suites to watch the fireworks in the town at Midnight. Last night our team at Kasbah Tamadot proved that small is beautiful when we won the award for ‘World’s Best Small Hotel’ at the inaugural International Hotel Awards, in association with Bloomberg Television.  

Our Managing Director, Jon Brown said “All of the team are extremely proud that Kasbah Tamadot has been awarded this prestigious award; it’s wonderful to be recognized in this way and what a fantastic way to start 2012!”

At Ulusaba Private Game Reserve all guests and staff are safe and sound and purely as a precautionary measure have been moved to Rock Lodge which is perched high on the summit of a koppie.!

We’ve experienced extreme rainfall over the last 24 hours which has caused over 380mm of rain to fall, there has been flooding across parts of the Sabi Sand Reserve. Read More

The queue for The Club on the 7th January 2012!!

Happy New Year Everyone!

What a start to 2012! We hope you all had fun welcoming in the New Year. Those of you who were at The Roof Gardens with us will know that we had an incredible night. With DJs spinning party tunes all night and a very special Live Soul Dance DJ Fusion Percussion Set, The Club was buzzing into the early hours. We served delicious canapés and cocktails and there were plenty of beautiful faces, but the highlight has to be the spectacular fireworks display, which rang in the New Year in true style! After this exciting start to the year things have continued apace. We had a phenomenal night on the first Saturday Club night of 2012 and despite the January blues, The Club was packed with revellers extending the party season into the New Year.
