Well, we’re now officially passed the shortest day of the year, and with a little shower of rain over a couple of days in the middle of the month and very warm midday temperatures of around 28°C, the bush seems to think that spring has sprung. Of course this is not true, as we’re still in the middle of winter, however, with all the good rain we experienced over the summer, the bush is in excellent condition and all the animals are looking healthy as a result.
We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks in the bush…

We hope you’re all well. There have been some great sightings as well as some interesting animals seen over the past couple of weeks. The mornings have been quite crisp, with game drives leaving a little before sunrise, giving our guests an opportunity to experience the African bush as it starts waking up.

April past by in a flash but nonetheless this past month produced some exhilarating experiences.
On one occasion Phillip, one of our rangers and his guests witnessed an phenomenal encounter - an interaction between two lions and a warthog.
This encounter played itself off in the Southern area of our property…

Just returned from Ulusaba…
It was a 36 hour trip, all the way from LA, but I can honestly say its so worth it in every way!
When we got off the plane we were met by my old friend Karl; he is in charge of making sure Ulusaba runs at peek performance. He welcomed me and my friends with open arms and immediately asked about my son, Jaden. My son and I had the trip of a lifetime three years ago at Ulusaba and so I was looking forward to sharing all that this wonderful place has to offer with my friends on this occasion.
