Long time no speak, so here’s the update from Babylon!

Well so far, we’ve had a record-breaking summer in terms of weather and we’ve thoroughly been enjoying it up in Babylon with our unique views of the London skyline. It’s that time of year again where we all start to wonder where the year has gone. It seems only moments ago that I was wondering if winter would ever end and now I have just received my spring bulb catalogues for next year! Its hard to think that all the planning that went on in the second half of last year is all coming to fruition  Not only have all the summer bulbs like the lilies and gladioli come  into flower but also we are starting to see the dahlias that will keep the gardens looking cheery well into the Autumn. Here at The Roof Gardens we are loving the amazing weather we’re having! With this weekend set to be the hottest weekend of the year so far, it’s the perfect excuse to come down and enjoy the beautiful gardens. 

Our pre-club summer BBQ and live music nights have proved a great success so far this summer and will continue every Friday and Saturday through until September. Tables are filling up fast so make sure you book yours soon. You’ll be able to enjoy a three course BBQ, whilst listening to the Jazz and Soul sounds of ‘Astin Martini’, our brilliant resident band. Hey party people,

With The World Cup in full swing and a long, glorious summer (hopefully) ahead of us I thought I’d take the opportunity to keep you abreast of the latest events here at the club.

The World Cup kicked off in the Spanish Garden with the England Vs USA match shown live on big screens to eager football fans and, despite the result the party atmosphere continued long into the night. We will be screening more England matches beginning at the last 16 stage … of course we have total faith that they will still be in the tournament at that stage! Read More
