Hi All!

As you know, we have four runners in this years London Marathon running from Virgin Limited Edition to raise money for several London Charities, including Kids Company - a charity which provides practical and emotional support to thousands of children and young people in the capital. ‘Pay what you feel’ when you dine for lunch or dinner at Babylon on Monday 25th January 2010! As part of an on-going fundraising initiative, all starters, mains and desserts will be without their usual price tag, allowing you to decide how much you wish to pay for your meal. Drinks will be at their normal rates, but every penny you give (including service tips) will be donated to Mission:Possible, the Virgin Group’s fundraising initiative in support of the Virgin London Marathon. Hi from the Babylon Bar!
I’m Tim the new Head Bartender; I came on board just before Christmas and am having a great time! Previously I have worked around Covent Garden in bars such as Dirty Martini and The Hospital; I have also worked a lot independently as a bars consultant. I’m one of a rare breed, a UK born bartender working in London and am looking forward to making some exciting changes in the Babylon Bar in the New Year!

We have a lot of cool things to look forward to! We will be experimenting with Molecular Mixology, using foams, hydrosols and gels in our drinks; I’ll be setting up a little lab on the premises somewhere and get my mad scientist coat on.

Ian’s inspiration comes from simple and authentic food using locally sourced in-season ingredients, to create an infusion of flavours. So this brings us to our mouth-watering festive Christmas menu Ian and his team have whipped up! Read More

I helped out at trendy Maddison Park restaurant in downtown New York and let’s just say, I’ve come back with loads of ideas for Babylon!
