Well, its official, Spring is here, and with the temperatures hovering at a balmy 6 degrees, its time to break out the shorts, dust off the bikes and climbing shoes and look forward to another exciting Summer season!! That’s right, with the lifts closed now, people have got that summer feeling, with BBQ’s and flip flops starting to feature in the weekly agenda now. Its one of my favourite times of the year, and how can you resist when the Barbie gets fired up for lunches at The Lodge, and the hot tub calls you in to soak your weary muscles after a bike ride, hike, tennis, or simply moving from the Hammock to the hot tub?? Try and say the word Charity, and I bet 9 out of 10 people will say ‘Charidee’, taken from the ‘Smashie and Nicey’ sketch from the Fast Show. I guess it was drilled into our heads in the mid 90’s. We have been doing our bit for ‘Charidee’ here at The Lodge last weekend. We hosted the ‘Crystal Ball’ at the Cristal restaurant high above Verbier. Richard managed to make it out for the event, and Holly and Richard hosted the evening, which was raising money for the Virgin Unite ‘Mission:Possible’ charity, supporting several childrens charities. Not a creature was stirring, not even Bambam……..
