In March, Necker Island co-hosted the inaugural British Virgin Islands Kite Jam, supported by the man himself, Sir Richard Branson and sponsored by the BVI Tourism Board. Kite Boarding lovers from around the globe descended on the British Virgin Islands (known for its ideal wind and water conditions) for a series of races and freestyle competitions. The staff is wearing Santa hats and greet the guests as they come in still wearing their pyjamas! We do not serve normal breakfast on Christmas morning – instead it’s much more relaxed with fresh baked goods and chocolates (yes, we start the day with chocolate!), and of course the champagne flows all day.
